What an outstanding sky race, with France’s Alex Mateos who managed to win his first Parabatix title and become this year’s Icarobatix champion by virtue of his victory in qualifying just before the heavy, gusting winds that caused the cancellation of the second of three days.

Spain’s Paco Guerra just behind Alex was second and moved ahead of France’s Jeremy Penome in the overall standings halfway through the event. First time sky racer & USA’s Othar Lawrence of the Red Bull air force showed excellent determination to win and although he didn’t score so high this time round Othar proved this game isn’t just for the Europeans and that he will be a force to be reckoned with in the future.

Parabatix is a freestyle paramotor race based not only on speed but also on precision & proximity flight. It is not just about being the overall fastest pilot on the smallest wing & most powerful motor. It is all bout pure piloting skills!
