Parabatix in China
30 July 2018Going into the 8th year of Parabatix Sky Racers its the first time the event is held in Asia, it’s clear that the planet’s most prestigious paramotor event should kick off in one of the world’s most far out all-natural locations that up until now had never seen foreign people from the rest of the world let alone pilots.
Held in the beautiful mountain ranges of Qilian in north China here is what went down!
The Coupe Icare China provided an amazing place for this amazing race.
Day one warming up and getting used to the local flying conditions and area.
This is the first time a Parabatix Sky Race had been performed at such a high altitude (3000 meters).
Sky Race director Jerome Pommier and Parabatix founder Pascal Campbell-Jones had plans for a new race track. Using the rolling hills to add an element of 3D and further push the skills of the pilots who would have to race around pylons but also ride the elevation of each rock formation and hill tump busting tight moves and wingovers in mid turn around pylons just to keep their track times fast!
Giving some of the aspiring younger Sky Racers the chance to battle against the stars of the sport and make a name for themselves on new grounds!
